9 Reasons To Keep Coconut Oil In Your Bathroom
The list of everyday uses of the coconut oil is never ending. We use coconut oil in our homemade body care products and cooking. Here we have our 9 favorite uses for coconut oil in the bathroom!
We keep a jar of coconut oil in our bathroom always! Coconut oil is a wonderful skin moisturizer as well as an important ingredient in many hair treatments.
Below is a list of 9 uses of coconut oil in the bathroom:
1. Shave Your Legs
You heard well! When it comes to shaving,coconut oil is a girls best friend. If you want baby soft legs, rub a small amount of coconut oil on your legs before shaving.
2. Skin moisturizer
You can use whipped coconut oil body butter almost every day! Coconut oil is known to help prevent sagging skin,reduce scaring and stretch marks. It’s a natural “miracle” cream!
3. Oil Pulling
Have you swished with coconut oil? Traditional way to cleanse the mouth of bacteria is oil pulling. Start your day with oil pulling by swishing a teaspoon of coconut oil in your mouth. Try to swish for a minimum of 10 minutes. If you can, go for more than 20 minutes.
4. Eye Makeup Remover
Another wonderful reason to have coconut oil on hand in the bathroom is for removing makeup! First wash your face thoroughly and then use coconut oil to remove the rest if the eye makeup
5. Carrier Oil
When you are stressed or need to relax,mix a few drops of your favorite essential oils with a spoonful of coconut. I personally use Peace and Calming for relaxation, Panaway for sore muscles,lavender to help me sleep and peppermint or lemon to energize.
6. Frizz Tamer
Coconut oil can be your go-to when you need to tame your kids beautifully wild hair. But, use only a small amount. A bigger amount of coconut oil will leave your hair with an oily look.
7. Hair Treatment
When used as a pre or post treatment,coconut oil helps reduce protein loss. Swing towards pre-treating your hair by adding a ½ tablespoon of coconut oil to the roots and rub the oil down to the ends. Then leave the coconut oil on your hair for an hour before rinsing with water.
8. Rash and Burn Cream
Coconut oil helps to sooth burns and rashes. Many people have used it when their children had diaper rashes. A small dab of coconut oil has always helped to reduce and even eliminate diaper rash.
9. Cuticle Treatment
Coconut oil does miracles for your nails! Massage your toe nails and finger nails with coconut oil as often as you want to help keep rugged cuticles tame. The anti-fungal properties of coconut oil are also helpful for keeping toes free and protected of fungal infections.
